Zinc oxide-modified mordenite as an effective catalyst for the dehydrogenation of (bio)ethanol to acetaldehyde

نویسندگان

چکیده

Varying the extraframework metal cation on alkali exchanged mordenite tunes ethanol dehydrogenation properties of ZnO supported mordenite, resulting in enhanced lifetime, low ethylene selectivity and increased acetaldehyde productivity per Zn.

Co3O4/NiO@GQDs@SO3H nanocomposite as an effective catalyst for the synthesis of pyranopyridines

Co3O4/NiO@GQDs@SO3H nanocatalyst has been used as an effective catalyst for the preparation of benzopyranopyridines through a four-component reaction of salicylaldehydes, thiols and 2 equiv of malononitrile under reflux condition in ethanol. The catalyst has been characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, EDS, BET, XPS, TGA and VSM. Atom economy, reusable catalyst, low catalyst loading, applicability to...

Homogeneous Catalyst for Alkane Dehydrogenation

The removal of hydrogen from alkanes to give alkenes is an important commercial objective, as alkenes are widely used as organic feedstocks in industrial processes involving chemical synthesis and polymerisation. This reaction is, however, significantly endothermic, needing up to 30 kcal per mole, and normally occurring at temperatures exceeding 400°C in the presence of heterogeneous supported ...

Theoretical study of C60 as catalyst for dehydrogenation in LiBH4.

Complex light metal hydrides possess many properties which make them attractive as a storage medium for hydrogen, but typically catalysts are required to lower the hydrogen desorption temperature and to facilitate hydrogen uptake in the form of a reversible reaction. The overwhelming focus in the search for catalysing agents has been on compounds containing titanium, but the precise mechanism o...

Vanadium Oxide Supported on Al-modified Titania Nanotubes for Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane

In this study, characterization of vanadia supported on Al-modified titania nanotubes (TiNTs) synthesized by the alkaline hydrothermal treatment of TiO2 powders has been reported. A promising catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of propane was prepared via the incipient wetness impregnation method. The morphology and crystalline structure of TiNTs were characterized by transmission elec...
